- An account from ‘Brazia’ a football stitcher from Sialkot

Brazia is 20 years old, she is not married and has been stitching footballs in Chagelan stitching centre (which is a few miles out of Sialkot, Pakistan),for a year.
She likes Punjab music and enjoys practising dancing with her sisters, she enjoys stitching as she has fun chatting with her friends but would like to make more Fairtrade footballs. For a non-fairtrade football she receives 30 Rupees in payment for a Fairtrade football she receives 47 Rupees, which she says is a good price.
She complains that Fairtrade orders are too small, and she asks me to ensure we get more order for Fairtrade balls. Brazia does not want to stitch footballs for ever but is keen to take out a micro credit loan so that she can open a grocery store with her five sisters.
