Our Achievements

Between 2006 and 2011 FairDeal Trading and its purchasing partners have sourced more than 250 MT from our suppliers under Fair Trade conditions.

This volume equates Fair Trade premium payments of EUR 125.000 for rubber alone.

In addition FairDeal Trading is also paid the FLO specified Fairtrade premiums for cotton and sports balls.

Furthermore FairDeal Trading is also – voluntarily – paying a 15% Fair Trade premium for the making of the sneakers.

Plus the first FSC® certified rubber supply chains, including a group of small farmers.

The Fair Trade rubber premiums have been our producer/suppliers in the following manner:

Our Indian suppliers used a large part of the premium to pay for the

• 1st supplementary pension scheme for rubber workers in India!

• extraordinary medical emergencies

• and happy events like wedding costs.

Our Sri Lankan suppliers have used FairDeal premiums for

• clean water supplies for 74 families (clean piped water to houses – rather than carrying it for miles)
• electricity for 21 families (around 90 individuals: children can now do homework at night without ruining their eyes)
• small farmers are expanding the processing unit and can thus increase their membership.
